Standing in 2007 we can all look forward to the start of 2008 tonight. 2008 is a new start, a country none of us has ever been to. How ever you welcome the New Year I hope it will be fun. How can it be 2008? I remember the big New Year when 1999 became 2000. Seven years ago.. time moves too fast. New Year customs are amusing. Here in the South if you want good luck for the New Year you are supposed to eat black eyed peas on New Year's Day. I never do laundry on New Year's Day because what ever you do on this day you will repeat in the coming year. Guess what, I still have to wash clothes it never works. I have collected a couple of books I want to read while the endless football game watching is going on. We will be rooting for the University of Georgia, the University of Kansas, and LSU in the Sugar, Orange and BCS championship bowls. I always try to watch part of the Rose Parade. We have a dinner party this evening with the two couples we will travel to Greece with in June. That trip will be a dream come true. I wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR .. I will enjoy visiting all my favorite blogs in 2008 and hope to have a lot of fun with Junking in Georgia.
