When I am not junking, one thing I enjoy doing is making jewelry. I made this quartz, onyx, and sterling silver necklace and earrings for a friend who put it in a charity auction. The photo is not that great. There are small sterling beads that are hard to make out. This is more modern than my normal style. Taking apart vintage jewelry and adding it to designs is more typical of something I would do. I am always on the look out for beads, findings, etc. to play with. A friend has invited me to her home in Tucson, Arizona during the biggest gem and bead show in the country in Feb. I am thrilled about the chance to go. I have been getting tips about the show from people here in Atlanta. If anyone has been or knows anything about it I would love to hear from you.
Most everyone has taken advantage of our Spring like weather this weekend to take down and put away Christmas in my neighborhood. I just spoke to my next door neighbor who is a school teacher. Today is the first day back. She was not too happy to be climbing back into the saddle again. I hope your week gets off to a good start.
