Heavy weather rolled through my neighborhood yesterday... rain and high winds. A huge live pine tree up rooted in my back neighbors yard and went down hanging up in surrounding trees.. it will be a big job to take it out. The rain slowed then stopped by late afternoon just in time for my husband to get home from work. He was out in the yard when my son who was in the house along with me said to me " Dad fell". Words you don't ever want to hear. The resulting visit to the emergency room produced one broken right ankle. When my son and I reached him after he fell the first words out of mouth were, " I've broken my ankle." He was correct. Thankfully it is a simple break of his right fibula which with time should heal well. How he will adjust to the hitch in his get along well, we will see... among other things he'll not be able to drive his beloved German sports car since it is stick shift... my son ever the helpful one offered to drive the car while his Dad recovers. Things can change quickly. I will be nurse and step fetch it for awhile....
happier times ... when both ankles were working........ at least he did not hit his head or any other parts we are thankful for that... please be careful out there
